Types of connectors for charging electric vehicles

Type 1 (SAE J1772) - common in North America and Asia, single-phase connector for AC charging with a maximum power of up to 7.4 kW.

Type 2 (Mennekes) - European standard for AC charging, supports single-phase and three-phase charging with a power output of up to 43 kW.
